OVERVIEW

The department�s main academic programs are guided by the Syllabi of affiliating university WBUT with a special emphasis on the fundamental and essential subjects of electrical engineering to lift the students� career to the highest level in �real−life� situation. The department offers excellent scholastic exposure of key areas of electrical engineering like Electrical Circuit and Network, Principles of Electric Sciences, Electronics with Power Electronics and Drives, Digital Systems including Hardware and Software like MATLAB, SIMULINK, MiPower, Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution. Proper weightage is given to group discussion and seminars on current and technical topics to prepare the students to face the placement interview.

The department prepares the students to nurture themselves intelligently with engineers from other disciplines to bring about solutions to inter−disciplinary oriented problems. The students are exposed to industry environment through industrial training and subsequent explanation of the industry requirement by the experienced faculty members with a long industrial experience
