An inter college Elocution Competetion was held at Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur by its Entrepreneurship Development Cell on the occasion of the inauguration of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2024 from 23rd to 30th October 2024. The programme was organized in collaboration with the Steel Authority of India Limited at the Albert Einstein Hall of BCREC.

This year the theme of the week is "Culture of Integrity for Nation's Prosperity ". Thirty students from six Engineering Colleges of Durgapur area participated in the competition. Mr. Pradeep Bharahan, Chief General Manager (Vigilance) and ACVO - DSP & ASP alongwith other officials graced the occasion with their valuable presence. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Sanjay S. Pawar, Principal, BCREC. A pledge was read and adopted by all, present in the programme.

Prof. Krishna Roy and Mr. Shouvick Chandra, Sr. Manager (PR) felicitated the dignitaries.

The programme was organized under the auspice of Govt. of India to promote the ethical behaviour and transparency among the youth which are very important ingredients of the nation building.

Prof. Krishna Roy, Prof. Dipta Chowdhury, Prof, Anandaprova Majumdar, Prof. Sayanti Samanta, Mr. Soumitra Goswami conducted the whole programme very aptly.

A quiz competetion has also been contemplated by the ED Cell of BCREC on 28th October, 2024, in collaboration with the UCO Bank at the same venue of BCREC.
