NEP 2020 – Shaping the Present, Inspiring the Future.

Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur successfully celebrated the 6th Anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and quality-driven education.  The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay S. Pawar, Principal, BCREC, who highlighted the transformative vision of NEP 2020 and its emphasis on multidisciplinary education, skill development, innovation, research, consultancy, and technology integration to prepare students for a rapidly evolving global landscape.

The session was followed by an insightful presentation by Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Sengupta, IQAC Coordinator, BCREC, on the New NAAC Accreditation Binary Framework. He elaborated on the Level-Based Multi-Dimensional Graded Levels (MBGL) approach, focusing on data-driven assessment, continuous quality enhancement, and institutional excellence in alignment with the objectives of NEP 2020.

The presentation also underscored the significance of cultivating a strong institutional quality culture, where quality assurance becomes an ongoing process rather than an exercise limited to accreditation cycles. It emphasized that the active participation of administrators, faculty members, staff, and all stakeholders is the cornerstone of achieving sustainable institutional excellence. At BCREC, we remain dedicated to embracing the spirit of NEP 2020 by fostering innovation, empowering learners, strengthening research, and creating an inclusive, future-ready academic ecosystem.
