New Beginning with Confidence, Discipline & Determination! 

Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College (BCREC), Durgapur successfully organised the Closing Ceremony of the B.Tech First-Year Induction Programme 2026 at the Dulal Mitra Auditorium. The inspiring occasion was graced by Chief Guest Swami Stavapriyananda Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Ramharipur, Bankura, along with Dr. K. M. Hossain, Vice Principal, BCREC, Dr. G. S. Panda, Registrar, BCREC, faculty members, staff and our enthusiastic first-year students.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. K. M. Hossain, Vice Principal, who emphasised the importance of recognising and nurturing the unique potential of every student. “Everyone has talent; our job is to find it and prepare it for the industry.”

Swami Stavapriyananda Maharaj encouraged students to believe in themselves, listen to their hearts and remain focused on their chosen subjects and aspirations. He highlighted the importance of adapting to changing times and, most importantly, making effective use of the precious resource of time. “Once time passes, it will never come back.” Maharaj urged the students to pursue their dreams with courage and perseverance, reminding them that challenges are a part of every meaningful journey. 

He further inspired the students with the powerful message, “God is with you always.” and encouraged them to remain focused and dedicated, “Take up one idea and live on that idea.” His words reminded the students that confidence, faith, discipline, persistence and dedication are essential ingredients for turning dreams into reality.

Adding colour and vibrancy to the occasion was an engaging cultural programme, featuring melodious songs, energetic dances and captivating performances by the students. The celebrations beautifully reflected the spirit of unity, friendship, creativity and inclusiveness. As the curtains came down on the Induction Programme, our first-year students stepped forward into their academic journey with renewed confidence and enthusiasm.
