SHIBENDU MAHATA received the Ph.D. degree in electronics and communication engineering from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur, India, in 2021. He was a Field Operations and Panel Engineer with Reliance Industries Ltd., and a Research Assistant with the Department of Cybernetics with CSIR-CMERI. He has authored about 60 articles published in SCI-E peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters. His research interest includes optimal modeling of fractional-order systems. He was awarded with the University Medal for his M.Tech. degree from Jadavpur University. He was a recipient of the 2019 Premium Award for Best Paper from IET Signal Processing. He was a recipient of the best paper award in IEEE International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Computing Research (ICCICR), Chennai, India, 15-17 December, 2016. He has also won the Best poster award in Research Scholars Day organized by Dept. of ECE, NIT Durgapur, in 2019. He has served as a Guest Editor for several special issues in Fractal and Fractional journal. He also serves as an Editorial Board member of Scientific Reports.
