I am Soumyadip Das, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College. My academic journey in civil engineering has developed my interest in structural health monitoring, traffic intersection study, pedestrian movements, construction materials, transportation engineering, and artificial intelligence applications in infrastructure development. I am passionate about teaching, research, and guiding students to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical applications. My research focuses on sustainable materials, pavement performance, and predictive modelling techniques. I actively contribute to academic development, laboratory activities, and accreditation initiatives, striving to promote innovation, technical excellence, and professional growth among students in modern civil engineering practice. Online teaching is conducted through different applications like google meet, zoom, google classroom, flipgrid where direct interaction through video is possible. In some cases, notes are sent as corresponding lecture notes, screen recorded video note, ppt, etc. which allows the students to study the notes at any time. Students’ queries and doubts are addressed through phone calls, online and whatsapp interactions. Link
