Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College (BCREC) and Dr. B. C. Roy Academy of Professional Courses (BCRAPC), Durgapur, signed Letters of Understanding (LoUs) with the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), on 13th August, 2025 at BCREC boardroom. Two LoUs were signed between Mr Subhayu Das, AGM NISM and Dr. Sanjay S. Pawar principal BCREC and Dr. Rajib Roy Principal of BCRAPC. NISM is an institute established by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), to strengthen academic collaboration and promote financial literacy and securities market education.

The signing ceremony took place at the BCREC campus and was graced by several eminent dignitaries. Representing the institutions were Mr. Tarun Bhattacharya, General Secretary; Mr. Jernail Singh, Treasurer; Prof. Saikat Maitra, Chief Advisor and Mrs. Rita Singh, Member of Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering college, Durgapur.

 Dr. Sanjay S. Pawar, Principal of BCREC; Dr. K. M. Hossain, Vice Principal of BCREC; Dr. Rajib Roy, Principal of BCRAPC and Dr. Somrup Sidhannta, Head of the Department of Management, were also present in this occasion.

The partnership agreement encompasses key benefits like integration of NISM courses into the academic curricula, free faculty development programs, access to industry-relevant study materials, placement support, immersion programs, summer schools, study tours and potential establishment of an NISM test centre on campus.
