After spending six years in the industry, I shifted to academics where I have already spend 30 years. Besides teaching subjects in the areas of Operations Management, Quantitative Techniques, Management Information Systems, Entrepreneurship, and Data Analytics, I am working as the coordinator of NISP and Internal Complaint Committee of the Institution and as Convener of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and "National Digital Library of India" of the college. I am a senior member of the Operational Research Society of India and have held the posts of Treasurer, Hony Secretary, and Vice President of its Durgapur Chapter from time to time. I have also been associated with Wadhwani Global University(NEN) as a Global Jury Member during the institution's association with NEN. I have published 3 books in the domains of Materials Management and Data Analytics.

(iii) Finalist (one out of eight) as an entrepreneurship educator nominated by the Ministry of Skill Development and National Entrepreneurship Network at their Entrepreneurship Educator Conclave in Delhi on 12.03.2015.

(iv) Took 4 NPTEL courses in 2021 and was All India topper in 3 courses.

(v) Received the best faculty award from the management of Dr. B C Roy Engineering College in 2023.
