Abhik Mukherjee, Assistant professor of English, Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College Durgapur, India published a number of articles on literature and film. He worked on a Fulbright Nehru Postdoctoral project (2018-19) in Women's and Gender studies at Washington State University Vancouver with Carol Siegel on "D.H. Lawrence and Satyajit Ray's Contributions to Understanding the Construction of Gender." He attended some national and international conferences that include the biggest annual international film conference, The Society of Cinema and Media Studies in 2019 in Seattle. He was invited to give talks in India and abroad including a research talk at Washington State University Vancouver Library on Ray and Lawrence. He received a travel grant from WSU Vancouver in April 2019 to visit the D.H. Lawrence Archive in Harry Ransom Center, University of Texas, Austin for his research on D.H. Lawrence. He is the member of Modern Language Association (MLA), D. H. Lawrence Society of North America and Society for Cinema and Media Studies (SCMS).
